Attempted armed robbery foiled at Westpac.

An attempted armed robbery by what is rumoured to be a group of South African former mercenaries was foiled last week by the heroic actions of security staff and the rapid response of the Police armed offenders squad. The Prime Minister and a number of other dignitaries have expressed condolences for the loss of the Westpac staff and there has been universal condemnation of the armed violence in the robbery.
